Some of the best holiday traditions begin in the kitchen. A grandmother's handwritten recipe, cookies baked with the kids every December, or a family favorite that always finds its way onto the holiday table.
This December, we're bringing those traditions together at Christopher Cellars for Every Cookie Has a Story, a community holiday cookie and recipe exchange celebrating the recipes, memories, and people that make the season special.
We invite you to bake a batch of your favorite holiday cookies, share the story behind them, and discover new recipes and traditions from others in our community.
How the Cookie Exchange Works
Bake 24 Cookies. Bring 24 Cookies. Take Home 24 Cookies.
Register in advance to participate, then bake two dozen of your favorite homemade holiday cookies to bring to Christopher Cellars on Sunday, December 13.
When you arrive, we'll collect and arrange everyone's cookies for the exchange. You'll have the opportunity to mingle with fellow bakers, discover different holiday treats, and fill a take-home box with 24 assorted cookies made by other participants.
You'll leave with a delicious assortment of holiday cookies and perhaps a few new family favorites.
Share the Recipe, Share the Tradition
Every cookie has a story, and we'd love to hear yours.
Along with your cookies, we encourage you to bring a recipe card featuring the ingredients, baking instructions, and a little note about what makes your recipe special.
Is it something your grandmother made every Christmas? A recipe your children request every year? Or a new tradition you've started with your own family?
We'll display the recipes as part of our Community Holiday Recipe Exchange, giving guests an opportunity to discover new recipes and take inspiration home for their own holiday baking.
Who knows? Your family's favorite cookie might become someone else's new holiday tradition.
Wine, Cookies & Community
While the cookies are being exchanged, enjoy an afternoon at Christopher Cellars with our collection of small-lot wines available by the glass, bottle, or tasting flight.
We'll also share a few suggested wine and cookie pairings for those interested in discovering how holiday sweets complement different wines.
Bring your family, invite a friend, and spend the afternoon celebrating the simple joy of sharing something homemade.
